Rainier Ehrhardt is a staff photographer at the Augusta Chronicle in Augusta, Ga. He grew up in Le Mans, France and Birmingham, Ala., and began his career as a motorsports photographer covering sportscars and NASCAR in Europe and the United States. He has had the privilege of covering four Masters golf tournaments and shot assignments for the Associated Press, USA Today, The New York Times and Auto Hebdo. He has also worked as picture editor for www.motorsport.com. Recent awards include Georgia Associated Press sports photograph of the year 2008 and 2009, and Georgia Press Association feature photograph 2008.
